Terms used:

The term ‘subscription’ refers to the arrangement between you and us (Hearst UK) to receive a service or product via Hearst Magazines regularly by paying in advance. This can include:

  • A print subscription (also ‘print magazine only subscription’) which typically includes a magazine, available as a hardcopy delivered to you, a digital edition available via the app or a combination of the two (‘bundle’).
  • A membership subscription (also ‘membership’) which typically includes multiple service/product components which can include the print subscription as part of it

New membership subscriptions:

  • In order to offer you our fantastic savings, subscriptions may not include promotional items packaged with the magazine at the newsstand.
  • if you’ve supplied a valid email address, your order will be acknowledged via email within 48 hours with a confirmation of your start issue. Alternatively, if we don't hold an email address, your order will be acknowledged within 5 working days by post.
  • You are advised to create an account on the website just after purchase which is required to instantly access features of the membership product. You are advised that if you do not create an account just after signing up, this may result in delays to access features as part of your package.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password and other credentials (your “Credentials”) that you will be asked to create to access the membership, its features or portions thereof. We are not responsible for any misuse of your Credentials by any third party, whether authorized by you or not. You agree to immediately notify Hearst of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your Credentials or any other breach of security. We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized use of your Credentials or for your failure to follow the requirements set out in this Agreement.
  • In an effort to improve the overall membership product and customer experience, we reserve the right to alter and modify the product platforms, features, and elements of it at any point.
    • Additionally, we reserve the right to change or terminate any offered subscriptions or promotions at any time. 
    • You will receive service comms that inform you of any changes.
  • On platform access:
    • Website-hosted features: If you’ve purchased a membership and created an account at point of sign up, you will have immediate access to all website-hosted features which includes content, video and plans and more.
    • App-hosted features: If you’ve purchased a membership, you will have immediate access to all app-hosted features which includes the digital edition.
    • Instagram-hosted features: Members will need to request access to Instagram as detailed in the acknowledgement email and will not receive a personal invite to join. The location/handle of the Instagram will be noted in your acknowledgement email, the welcome email and through our members-only newsletter communication. Please note that instructions must be followed and allow up to 5 days to be granted access.
    • Magazine: You will receive your first issue in line with the issue stated in your acknowledgement email.
    • Newsletter: You will receive a newsletter as part of your membership which will arrive within the first 7 days of sign up to your email inbox. Should you wish to opt-out of the membership newsletter you are entitled to do so at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link contained within the email.

  • Please note that we will send you service emails relating to your membership such as issue dispatch notifications, feedback surveys and notifications about your usage of the different membership areas, and these will be sent regardless of your marketing communication preferences - to ensure you receive these notifications please update your details here. In addition, as part of your subscription agreement, Hearst may contact you for research purposes to find out about your experiences with the magazine.
  • You agree that any and all information and content that you submit (e.g., photos, audio, video, messages, text, files, or other content you provide us) - with the exception of any feedback to the service - may be used to inform, write, create or shape membership content in any way.
    • From time to time, we may expressly request submissions of concepts, stories, or other potential content from you. Please carefully read any specific rules or other terms and conditions that appear in connection with such requests as such terms and conditions.
    • Hearst will contact you should we wish to use your name. Please note that you are not obliged to publish your name should you not wish to.
  • You acknowledge that other users may post comments about your user content which may be derogatory. Hearst may remove or modify any user content without notice or liability at any time in Hearst’s sole discretion. Please reach out to an admin in the first instance to flag any such activity.
    • If we become of any derogatory activity, we may take steps to terminate that user’s access to the membership.
  • Savings are based on the UK basic cover price of magazines, offers are valid for specified region and by payment method advertised only.
  • If the membership you subscribe to offers a regular free email newsletter and we have your valid email address, we will automatically be opted-in to receive this. Whilst you're waiting for your issue to arrive, your newsletter will be sent within 5 days. Should you wish to opt-out of the free email newsletter you are entitled to do so at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link contained within the email. Opting out of the free email newsletter does not alter any of the subscription terms and conditions. If you choose not to renew your subscription or if you cancel your subscription, you will continue to receive the free email newsletter and you can opt out of these any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link.
  • If we have your email address, we will send you service emails relating to your membership such as issue dispatch notifications, feedback surveys, and these will be sent regardless of your marketing communication preferences - to ensure you receive these notifications please update your details here. In addition, as part of your subscription agreement, Hearst may contact you for research purposes to find out about your experiences with the magazine.
  • Welcome gift(s) are subject to availability and limited to 5 per household. Should we run out of the listed item you will be offered an alternative product of a similar value. The welcome gift will be sent separately to the magazine and we ask customers to allow up to 28 days for delivery. We will notify you via email once the gift has been dispatched or if there are any unforeseen delays. Please note, for gift subscriptions, the welcome gift is sent to the billing address of the payer (not to the gift subscription recipient). Hearst UK reserve the right to amend or terminate an order and/or request the return of gifts in cases of suspected user breach.
  • Magazine subscription terms (if a magazine is part of your selected membership package) vary depending on the magazine brand, the number of issues in your subscription will be outlined in your acknowledgement email or letter.
  • Magazine frequencies are subject to and we receive the reserve the right to adjust these at any time, we’ll notify customers in advance of any changes and inform you, should this change your debit debt collection dates.
  • During your membership subscription term we reserve the right to increase your direct debit payment, however we’ll notify you prior to changes by email or by post.
  • If you’re an existing print subscriber and have upgraded to one of our membership programmes, you will be able to downgrade back to print by calling customer service on +44 (0)1858 438838 if you’re in the UK, or +44 (0)1858 438838 if you’re overseas. 
  • Gift Subscriptions: If you've purchased a gift subscription, please note, we will notify you once we have dispatched the 1st issue to the recipient. If the recipient wishes to receive future service emails relating to their subscription, they can update their details here. 
  • Direct Debit offers: An initial payment for the number of months specified in the applicable offer will be taken and the subscription will continue at the step-up rate specified, unless you are notified otherwise. 
  • Free trials: If at any point of an existing magazine-only subscription, you were offered a free trial, the terms and conditions apply as outlined to you in the upgrade process.
  • One-off payment offer: If you are not entirely satisfied with your subscription, you can request a refund for any un-mailed issues at any time.

Membership subscription cancellations:

  • When you cancel a membership, you cancel only future charges associated with your membership subscription. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time, but the cancellation will become effective at the end of your current billing period.
  • Direct Debit Subscriptions will automatically renew every month and can be cancelled anytime. Please note, future subscription terms will be cancelled so be sure to contact us 28 days before your next payment is due.
  • Should you wish to cancel your membership subscription, you can do this at any time by contacting us.
  • If you cancel your membership subscription, as part of your subscription agreement and regardless of your marketing communication preferences, Hearst may contact you for research purposes to find out about your experience with the magazine and look to find an alternative solution which fits your needs. Just to reiterate this contact is regardless of their marketing communication preferences.
  • If there is an issue processing your membership order or your magazine (if included in your membership package) is returned as undelivered by Royal Mail, Hearst will contact you immediately to ensure you receive an uninterrupted service.

Membership subscription renewals:

  • You will receive all issues or membership time specified in the applicable offer. For more information please refer to Terms and Conditions specified on the applicable offer.
  • To ensure you don’t miss any issues or membership time, we will contact you before the expiry date of your magazine to remind you to renew to ensure you receive an uninterrupted service.
  • As part of your membership subscription agreement and regardless of your marketing communication preferences, Hearst will contact you up to 3 months after expiry with renewal reminders and we can backdate any missed issues where possible.

New print magazine only subscriptions:

  • In order to offer you our fantastic savings, subscriptions may not include promotional items packaged with the magazine at newsstand.
  • If you’ve supplied a valid email address, your order will be acknowledged via email within 48 hours with confirmation of your start issue. Alternatively, if we don't hold an email address, your order will be acknowledged within 5 working days by post.

  • The magazine frequencies are subject to change and we reserve the right to adjust these at any time during the subscription. We will inform customers of any such changes, and will give notice of any change to Direct Debit collection dates.
  • During your subscription term we reserve the right to increase your Direct Debit payment, however we’ll notify you prior to changes by email or by post.
  • Subscription terms vary depending on the magazine, the number of issues in your subscription will be outlined in your acknowledgement email or letter.
  • If taking out a print subscription, free instant digital access to the latest issue will be included in your confirmation email. This is available on all brands except for Inside Soap.
  • Gift Subscriptions: If you've purchased a gift subscription, please note that we will notify you once we have dispatched the first issue to the recipient. If the recipient wishes to receive future service emails relating to their subscription, they can update their details here.
  • If you would like to send a personalised e-card to the recipient, please click here and select the magazine you have gifted. Once you have made your selection, you will be redirected to the e-card journey where you can choose the design and schedule to send the card either immediately, or on a set date in the future. The e-card will arrive with the recipient on the selected date. Please note, an email address is required to send the e-card.
  • Direct Debit Offers: An initial payment for the number of issues specified in the applicable offer will be taken and the subscription will continue at the renewal rate specified, unless you are notified otherwise.
  • One-off Payment Offers: If you are not entirely satisfied with your subscription, you can request a refund for any un-mailed issues at any time.
  • Prima Pattern: If you would like to receive the complimentary pattern as part of your subscription, please register here.

Beauty & Grooming Boxes:

  • Your order should be delivered within roughly 7-10 from when the package leaves the warehouse. Occasionally, due to problems that are beyond our control e.g. Holidays, late delivery of stock/weather conditions, it is possible that orders may be delivered later than 7-10 working days after placing your order.
  • If an item is missing or damaged, please send a photograph to beautyboxes@subscription.co.uk stating your full name, order number, reason for return. Once we receive your request our Customer Service team will then be able to assist you and provide a suitable solution.
  • If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, please return your box in all the original packaging with your order details and proof of payment with ‘RETURN’ clearly marked on the outer box. Please note, in order to receive a full refund, the box and contents must not be used and in their original packaging. If the items are found to be used, Hearst reserve the right to refund.   • Customers are responsible for paying the duty and other customs clearing expenses.
  • The customer is responsible for return delivery charges and we recommend you return items via insured, registered or recorded delivery.
  • Although we endeavour to ensure that the information on our website is accurate and reliable, there may be instances where descriptions or products may contain pricing errors, typos and other errors which we may correct without liability.
  • We also reserve the right to cap quantities purchased and to amend, suspend, or terminate a promotion at any time due to inventory, shortages, or user breach - including after an order has been placed/processed.
  • Actual colours/shades may vary from the colour on your screen due to monitor colour restrictions, therefore colour finishes displayed online are intended as a guide only.
  • In some circumstances where a certain product is unavailable another product of equal or higher value will be used as a substitute.
  • Subscribers will receive a 20% discount off any full price beauty box, if the box is discounted during sale periods, the 20% discount doesn’t apply.
