1. Why should I subscribe?

By subscribing to your favourite Hearst magazine you will always get a better deal than buying from a retailer. Plus, we'll deliver it straight to your door BEFORE it's available in the shops, meaning you get to see all the new tips and trends before anyone else. We'll even let you know when your subscription is about to run out so you can re-order and keep receiving it seamlessly without missing an issue.

2. I live overseas. Can I still subscribe to your magazine?

Yes - we deliver all our titles overseas, apart from Women's Health. To access overseas rates click on the magazines of interest and then select "Overseas Subscription Offers" at the bottom of the page and this will take you to our current offers for that magazine for an overseas subscriber.

3. If I'm giving a gift subscription, do you send anything to the recipient

Yes: if you have the email address of the recipient we can send an electronic gift card either immediately or on the date of your choice. Also, included in the letter of acknowledgement we send you a greetings card with envelope - so you can write a personal message and send it on to the recipient. If you are buying more than one subscription, you will receive a card and envelope for each one.

4. Will you confirm acceptance of my order?

In all cases where possible we will send email confirmation of your order within 2 hours. If we don't have an email address - or if the email address with which we have been provided bounces back - then we will send a written confirmation through the post within 7-10 working days.

5. My subscription includes a free gift. When will this be sent? If I've ordered a magazine for someone else who gets the free gift?

The free gift will always be sent to the person who purchased the subscription (so you can choose whether to give this to the recipient of the subscription or keep it yourself!). Please allow up to 28 working days for delivery. Overseas subscribers are regretably not currently eligible for the free gifts included in our offers.

6. My subscription included a free gift but I've received something different. What do I do?

The free gift with a subscription is subject to change if a limited supply is available - as stipulated in the terms and conditions - for all our offers. However, if you genuinely think you have received the wrong gift please email hearst@subscription.co.uk or phone our customer team on 0844 8481601.

7. What is my subscription number?

Your subscriber number is the 12 digit number that is used to identify you and your subscription. This number includes any preceding zeros and it can be found above your name and address on the sheet of paper with your details that arrives each month in the bag with your monthly magazine and on all correspondence that we send to you. If you don't have your subscription number and need it don't worry: you can also contact our customer service team on hearst@subscription.co.uk or (UK) 0844 8481601, (Overseas) +44 (0)1858 438794.

8. How do I renew the subscription?

Whether you are taking out a subscription for yourself or as a gift, we will send you a reminder before the end of your subscription. Nothing will be sent to the recipient unless the subscription expires. Either type in the URL given on the renewal letter and renew online, complete and return the renewal form you receive or call customer services team on (UK) 0844 8481601, (Overseas) +44 (0)1858 438794 to take advantage of your exclusive offer.

9. Can I cancel my subscription?

Direct Debit subscriptions may be cancelled by providing 28 days' prior notice. One-off payment subscriptions can't be cancelled (unless of extenuating circumstances - see refund)

10. Can I transfer my subscription to a different magazine?

Yes, you may transfer your subscription to another Hearst magazine title. Please contact our customer services on (UK) 0844 8481601, (Overseas) +44 (0)1858 438794 for more information. Please note: the number of magazines in the subscription may change, depending on the price of the magazine originally purchased.

11. What if I want a refund?

If you want to cancel your subscription within the first 14 days of ordering it then please email hearst@subscription.co.uk or call our customer care centre on (UK) 0844 8481601, (Overseas) +44 (0)1858 438794. If it has been longer than the 14 day cooling off period then only in incidents of bereavement (or if any other special circumstance) will Hearst consider a refund.

If a gift is included as part of the subscription offer, we reserve the right to request the return of the gift/value of the gift in the event of an early cancellation of the subscription.

12. When will the first issue arrive?

Please allow up to six weeks for delivery of the first subscription issue for both UK & Overseas delivered subscriptions.

13. What if an issue doesn't arrive?

Though we make every effort to ensure all our issues arrive promptly, sometime they can get delayed or go missing. If your magazine doesn't arrive 5 days after the publication date of that month please contact one of our Customer Services team by emailing hearst@subscription.co.uk or by phoning 0844 8481601 (UK) or +44 (0)1858 438794 (Overseas) and our dedicated team will check that we have your correct address details and arrange for a replacement copy to be sent to you.

14. What if a magazine arrives damaged?

If this occurs please contact one of our Customer Services team by emailing hearst@subscription.co.uk or by phoning 0844 8481601 (UK) or +44 (0)1858 438794 (Overseas) and one of our agents will arrange for a replacement copy to be sent to you.

15. I've stopped receiving my magazine subscription, what should I do?

If your subscription has not expired, please contact one of our Customer Services team by emailing hearst@subscription.co.uk or by phoning 0844 8481601 (UK) or +44 (0)1858 438794(Overseas) and one of our team members will be able to look into your account for you to find out the cause of this matter.

16. What issue will my subscription start with? Can I specify which start issue it will be?

Your subscription will normally start with the next available issue unless specified otherwise for cheque and credit/debit card payers. Direct Debit payer's subscription will always start with the next available issue.

17. How do I change my address?

You can notify us of a change of address online by going here and signing up for our online service, which will allow you to manage your subscription online. 18. What do you do with my personal information?

We use your personal information provided (e.g. name, address, email address) to process your subscription order. Hearst Magazines UK will treat your personal information with the utmost security and follows a strict privacy guideline. On our on-line subscription order form and over the telephone we will ask you about receiving details of our magazines and services and/or those of their parties which may be of interest to you. When we have your permission, we may disclose this information to selected service providers and agents for these purposes. 20. I'm having trouble logging into my account. What should I do?

Check that you have entered your subscription number correctly. This is provided on any of the correspondence that we have sent you (please see What is my subscription number?)

Check that you have selected the correct magazine that you are enquiring about

Make sure that you have selected the correct payer of the subscription, whether it is a subscription paid for yourself or paid by someone else

21. What is the price in USD$ or other currencies?

Prices will be converted by your Credit Card Company at the current rate of exchange. This rate will fluctuate.

22. I'm a subscriber to Elle/ Elle Deco/ Red magazine - how do I become a member of the loyalty club?

Each of these magazines has its own loyalty club, with offers specifically relevant for its subscribers. to sign up you'll need your subscriber number, the name, address and email address with which you signed up for your subscription.

23. My log-in isn't working for my magazine's subscriber club. What should I do?

Please check that you have entered your subscription number correctly (please see What is my subscription number?), along with the name, address and email address with which you signed up for your subscription.

24. I'm a subscriber to Elle/ Red and there should have been a free gift with this month's issue but I didn't receive mine - what should I do?

Hearst we do hold small stocks off the free gifts sent our with these 2 magazines and can usually send one. Please contact our customer services team at hearst@subscription.co.uk or on 0844 8481601 for UK or +44 (0)1858 438794 for overseas and allow up to 14 days for delivery.

25. I'm a subscriber to Prima and I signed up for Prima pattern. I would like to receive Prima pattern but didn't get one with my issue. What do I need to do?
